Cookies at Crumbville
I love cookies.
Back when I was a kid who watched Sesame Street everyday, one of favorite characters was, as you can probably guess, the Cookie Monster. A cookie was the first thing both my dad and grandma taught me how to bake. And my love for cookies is the main reason why I'm never bikini ready each time summer rolls around.
Cookies, among other desserts, are my weakness, so when I find a new place around town that makes good treats, I become obsessed. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my latest obsession: Crumbville, TX.
I visited for an event hosted by Marque last week, and I'm already in love.
The first thing I noticed was the decor. I'm a sucker for everything quirky, rustic, and Instagrammable. And Crumbville is just that. There's even a sign that says "Will Work For Cupcakes" which is essentially my life in a nutshell.
And then there are the cookies. I'm pretty sure these are the best cookies I've ever had in Houston. Or anywhere, for that matter. They're soft, moist, homemade, and come in a variety of unique flavors. Everything from Peanut Butter Snicker Crunch to Peach-Cob-A-Licious to Cookie Minaj. The names alone make you want to take home a dozen.
I sampled a few and ultimately chose the Butter Pecan Crunch to take with me. I've never eaten anything so perfect. You ever eat something super slowly because you don't want the taste to end? That's how good those cookies tasted.
Crumbville also sells brownies, cupcakes, and "stuffed cups." Plus, the vegan options make it super friendly for all of you health conscious folks out there who still want a good sweet treat.
Ella, the mastermind behind the deliciousness that is Crumbville, is not only gracious for allowing us to use her amazing space for the event, but she's also a literal dessert genius who created all of the amazingly different flavors and concepts herself, including her "stuffed cup" magic.
I'm already looking forward to the next time I head downtown, so I can stop by and grab myself more treats. They're simply that good. If you're in the Houston area, try out this gem. You will not be disappointed.
